ChannelDesk

A help centre, written with Dot.

Answers customers find for themselves, on your own help site and inside your chat. Dot drafts the articles from what customers ask, and answers from them on every channel.

Included on every plan, even the free one.

Fewer questions, because the answers are easy to find.

01

Written with Dot

Dot drafts articles from the questions customers ask most, your approved answers and your website. You read each one before it goes live.

02

Found wherever they look

On your help site, in search results, inside your website chat, and in Dot’s answers on every channel.

03

Shows you what’s missing

What people searched for and didn’t find, and articles they said didn’t help, each a click from a new draft.

Your own help site

Your articles, in topics, with search that finds them as customers type.

  • In your colour, with your name in the address.
  • Fast pages that read well on a phone and show up on Google.
  • “Did this answer your question?” on every article.

Ask, and Dot answers

Customers ask in their own words, and Dot answers from your articles, naming the ones it used.

  • In the customer’s language.
  • If it isn’t sure, it offers the closest articles and your chat.
  • The same care as Dot’s replies: nothing your articles don’t say.

Help inside your chat

Your website chat searches your articles too, so visitors often find the answer without waiting.

  • Articles open right in the chat.
  • Ask Dot, or send a message with what they typed already written.
  • When Dot answers from an article, the chat links to it.

Dot writes the first drafts

Dot suggests your first articles from what it knows, and writes each one for you to read.

  • From the questions customers ask most, your approved answers and your website.
  • Shorter, clearer or friendlier in one click, and translated.
  • Checked before it goes live for customers’ details, and for anything that disagrees with your approved answers.

See what’s missing

Insights shows what people looked for and didn’t find, and what didn’t help.

  • Searches that found nothing, and questions Dot couldn’t answer.
  • Articles people said didn’t help.
  • Dot suggests new articles on its own, and drafts them when you say.

Common questions

What businesses ask before starting a help centre. If yours isn’t here, the free plan is the quickest way to find out.

Start free
01Is the help centre free?

Yes, on every plan. Free publishes up to 10 articles, with a small “Powered by ChannelDesk” line. Paid plans publish as many as you like, without it. Drafts are never limited.

02Where does it live?

At help.channeldesk.ai with your name after it, for example help.channeldesk.ai/northwind, in your colour. Link to it from your site, your emails and your social profiles.

03Will it show up on Google?

Yes. Pages are fast, readable on a phone, and come with the sitemap and details search engines look for. You can keep it out of search results if you’d rather.

04Does Dot publish articles by itself?

No. Dot drafts, and a person on your team reads and publishes. Before anything goes live, it’s checked for customers’ details and for anything that disagrees with your approved answers.

05Does Dot use my articles to answer customers?

Yes, on every channel, and it names the article it used. You choose which articles Dot may use; articles only your team can see are never shown to customers.

06Do answers to Ask count towards my plan?

Yes, each answer uses one of your AI replies for the month. Questions from your help centre can never use more than half of them, so Dot always has replies left for your inbox.

07Can my team keep articles just for themselves?

Yes. An article can be for everyone or for your team only. Team-only articles stay off your help site, and Dot can still use them if you let it.
